We've got the lowdown on Mzansi's newest cooking show

Legendary brand KOO is on a mission to inspire South Africans to eat better and they want you to come with them on the journey.

Colour Your Plate with KOO is a brand new cooking show which will shine the spotlight on their range of products and how these can go a long way in creating healthy and nourishing meals without breaking the bank -- a win-win situation.

On the show, Mzansi’s best home cooks will be challenged to put together their most nutritious and colourful dishes, showing the power and nutritional benefits of including KOO in your daily meals.

Each of the 13 episodes will crown a winner from five contestants. The winners from each episode will then battle it out for the grand title of Mzansi's best home cook and walk away with R50 000 in prizes.

On Wednesday, the who's who of the culinary world gathered for the launch event at the posh Simbali Lodge and Conference Centre in Tshwane.

The menu, curated by none other than renowned caterer and events specialist, Vicky Crease, celebrated the true essence of KOO products. We're talking KOO Chakalaka Braised Beef Short Rib, KOO Chickpea and Beetroot Falafels to name a few.

The brand's nutritional specialist and health and wellness specialist, Arthur Ramoroka said he believes eating healthy starts with getting your five-a-day with KOO. "Just add two fruits and three veggies to your daily meals, and you're on your way to being the best version of yourself," Ramoroka added.

Ramoroka alongside renowned chef Reuben Riffel and media mogul Basetsana Khumalo are the judges on the show.

The show airs every Wednesday on SABC2 at 7:30 pm.
