Duenna Mambana is a professional, experienced journalist and a trained chef.

With over 11 years of newsroom experience ranging from field reporting, news editing, and social media management, food has always featured greatly in her life although never really at the forefront until a few years ago.

Food media is a huge passion of hers. She is working towards marrying her skills as a journalist with her excellent culinary training -- this is how Bouquet Garni was born. 

Following her retrenchment after the closure of Huffington Post South Africa in 2018, she enrolled at Chefs Innovation and Training Academy for a Professional Culinary Arts Programme.

She obtained her City & Guilds accredited Diploma and graduated with merit in 2020 and has not looked back since.

Duenna is also a budding food stylist and blogger. She develops recipes and cooks like a G.

She also runs a pop-up restaurant, Duenna's Kitchen where she serves up gourmet dishes in intimate settings.

Duenna is married to a wonderful husband, Muxe, and has three children; Nathan Yinhla, Nyeleti Asante, and Malwandla Harhi.
